Coming from a family with strong roots in medicine, I always knew I would be a doctor. It wasn't until I attended the University of Maryland as a pre-med student and was introduced to behavioral and social psychology that I started really considering psychology as my profession and passion. My own positive experience with a psychiatrist during my junior year of college was very instrumental in helping me realize that I wanted to help people in the same way.

After graduating from the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, completing my residency at Northwestern University, and joining a group psychiatry practice for many years, I decided to open my own specialty psychiatric practice over a decade ago to provide a welcoming place where patients from all walks of life could feel comfortable and get the help they need.

To me, psychiatry is about creating relationships with my patients. I chose this field to get to know people and see myself as a guide in helping them down the life path that is right for them, so they can live their lives to the fullest.

Leading a very small practice, I pride myself in giving my patients the individualized attention they need. When patients call and leave me a voicemail, I return all calls myself and do my best to call them that same day. My cell phone number is also on my voicemail message in case patients need to reach me in an emergency. If a patient has reached out and it's important, I don't wait—I address it immediately.

I've gotten to know a lot of individuals from different walks of life and am honored to help them maximize their capacity for living life to the fullest."
